Fliegerschießen - Axalp-Ebenfluh (CH) - 2007

From 8 till 11 October 2007 we visited Switzerland again. In the photo report below you find pictures made at military airbase Meiringen and shooting range Axalp-Ebenfluh.

As usual we departed to the campsite in Brienz on Sunday morning. This year 'we' consisted of my dad and René. Monday we woke up at 5 am. It was time for the climb and the first day of Axalp activities. The sun came up while we were already at the top, giving us breath-taking views. The weather forecast for Wednesday was not very good, so we decided to spend a day at military airbase Meiringen. We witnessed a lot of flying activities, which also included the two Patrouille Suisse F-5E's with air-to-air target pods. Our decision to stay in the valley was wise: flying activities at the range were cancelled halfway the program, due to clouds. Thursday was a very nice day at the top again. Highlight was the very low pass of two Patrouille Suisse F-5's.

Have a look at the reports of my visits in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
